[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide paper to digital document scanning services for student newspaper digitization project.
- Provide open access to them through its digital collections website as well as sharing the metadata through OAI-PMH. The collection consists of microfilms and bound print volumes, totaling approximately 93,000 pages
● Maximum resolution possible, between 300-400 pixels-per-inch (ppi) relative to the physical dimensions of the original newspaper, rather than the microfilm
● 8-bit grayscale
● JPEG2000
● Crop to include the visible edge of pages
● Two-up film should be split so that there is one page image per file
● De-skew images that contain text blocks exhibiting skew of greater than 3 degrees
● Image standard targets at the start and end of each session
● Each searchable PDF file name corresponds to the JPEG2000 image it represents
● The page image will be grayscale, downsampled to 150dpi and encoded using a medium JPEG quality setting
● The PDF will not contain any bookmarks, links, named destinations, comments, forms, Javascript actions, external cross references, alternate images, embedded thumbnails, annotations, or private data
(2) All questions had been submitted on October 19,2021.
(3) A contract term will be for three years.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
