[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide medical, dental and mental health services for inmates in the custody of the county's sheriff's office and overseen by the metro public health department to the government authority located in Nashville, TN.
- Objectives:
- To provide the required constitutional level of healthcare in the most efficient, cost-effective manner possible to all inmates incarcerated within DCSO correctional facilities, with full reporting and accountability to Metro using a trauma informed correctional care model.
- To provide high quality healthcare maintenance that is consistent and in compliance with recognized standards of care that include the Occupational Safety and Health Administration,
- To ensure that each professional rendering service is duly licensed, certified, or registered and maintains said credentials.
- To implement a written healthcare plan with clear objectives, policies, and procedures, as well as an annual evaluation of compliance.
- To maintain an open and cooperative relationship
- To provide training to DCSO personnel on necessary topics such as an HIV literacy program which addresses the stigma, mode of transmission, cultural competency, and trauma informed care.
- To maintain complete and accurate electronic records of medical care and to collect and accurately analyze health statistics on a regular basis.
- To operate the healthcare program in a humane manner with respect to an inmate's right to basic healthcare services.
- The Contractor must provide a utilization review program in order to monitor the utilization of services and track associated costs.
(2) Contract period will be for three years.
